Independent Living Resources is a 501(c) 3 non-profit center funded by federal and local grants, private foundations, community partners, and individual contributions. We depend on bequests, memorials, endowments, and on gifts from communities like your own for our continued operation.
These contributions enable us to continue providing a wide variety of ILS programs and services. All contributions are tax-deductible within the rules and requirements set by the IRS. Please complete and return our donations form with your gift, and read below for other ways to contribute. Your support means a lot!
If you work for another agency which offers complementary services to ILR, please feel free to contact us with any partnership opportunities. We are always looking to work with other agencies to further our mission of helping people with disabilities.

Corporations can partner with ILR by sponsoring and/or hosting events for people with disabilities. Corporations can also work with ILR on our mentorship projects. Please contact us if you are interested in partnering with us.
ILR provides services using both staff and volunteers. Volunteers are essential to the continued success of the organization. They enable us to provide services without exceeding our budget.
Volunteers serve in many capacities at ILR, including the Board of Directors, skills trainers, and teachers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with ILR, please contact May Altman, our volunteer coordinator, at 503-232-7411 or via email
ILR participates in the Volunteers of America vehicle donation program. If you have a car, motor home, boat, or motorcycle, running or not which you no longer use, please consider donating it to ILR through this program. We receive sixty percent of the sale value
