Independent Living Resources (ILR) is looking for just the right person to join our Work Incentives Network (WIN) Team!  The successful candidate will join an Oregon Team of 11 Work Incentives Coordinators (WICs) based out of Oregon’s seven Centers for Independent Living (CILs).  The new hire will be a part of a team of 3 WICs working at ILR and serving consumers with disabilities in NW Oregon ~ primary services are provided in the Portland Metro Area with periodic outreach and services to The Gorge and North Coast.

The ideal candidate will be WIPA Certified with two years of experience as a benefits planner, although candidates with a combination of disability legal assistant, case management, and/or related social security experience have been successful in this position with training.  WICs present complex financial and social security policy information in clear and concise ways for consumers to understand their benefit options when returning to work.

The WIC position begins with a paid three-month training program and passing exams is required to move on in position to begin to provide direct services for consumers.  Strong computer skills are needed.  This is a wonderful professional development opportunity for the right person!  It is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $44,500 – $51,500, DOE.
