Skills Training

ILR provides training to help people with disabilities gain skills that will enable them to live more independently.

Some examples of training include: using various public transportation systems, or managing a personal budget. The skills training received by a person participating in services are created together with an Independent Living Specialist based on consumers’ Independent Living Plan or goals the person identifies. These services may be provided in a group setting or one-on-one learning.
